WELCOME and thank you for patience and support of the 16U Champions Cup
You will be showcasing your athletes in 6 games of pool play. Your Wins and Losses, Ties, Runs For and Runs Against will count towards your seeding for the Single Elimination Tournament which begins on Sunday, July 11, 2010 with Championship Game at 12:00 on Monday, July 12, 2010.
On Wednesday, July 7, 2010, you can pick up your coaches' packets at the host hotel Hyatt after 7:30 pm (look for Susan Bollinger or Lorrie Ivie in the lobby) or pick up at your first game at Harvard Athletic Park at the Champions Cup/SoCal ASA booth located near the snack bar.
Each packet will contain rules, pool games, championship bracket, and Champions Cup Scorecards (these must be turned in by EACH TEAM EACH TIME immediately after each game), umpire sheets, information, maps, etc. Your scores will then be posted on a vinyl scoreboard located near the snack bar as well as posted on the website after each game. It is your responsibility to ensure we have posted the right scores. Whatever is posted on the website when the last game is played on Saturday night will be how you will be seeded for the elimination games starting on Sunday. If you lose your first elimination game on Sunday, you will play a consolation game.
YOU WILL NOTE THERE ARE T-SHIRTS POSTED IN OUR WEBSITE UNDER STORE. PREORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL MIDNIGHT Tuesday JULY 6, 2010 and you can pick up your shirts at the Sports USA booth located near the snack bar. $12.00 prepaid and the back of the shirts will have all the teams names posted and a logo/16U. They really look nice and you have a choice of size and color as well on the preorder. A great deal !!

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd Annual Champions Cup (16U) , which is an invitational elite fastpitch softball showcase being
held from July 8 – 12, 2010 in Irvine, California. The Champions Cup (16U) is organized and operated by the
Southern California International Softball Festival and all net proceeds from
this tournament will be deposited to the same funds that contribute to the
Champions Cup and its scholarship program.
The Champions Cup (16U) include teams from throughout the United
States. Many of these teams will
participate as preparation for their National Championship tournaments in
August. The tournament starts
Thursday, July 8 – 12, 2010 and will
be played entirely at Harvard Athletic Park in Irvine, California.
The Champions Cup will be hosted by the City of Irvine;
centrally located in Orange County, California, and one of the prime vacation
destinations in the United States. We also
want to thank the Irvine Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Bureau for their help in
providing entertainment opportunities off of the softball field.
The Hyatt Regency of Irvine
is our host hotel although we will not have a Managers' Dinner this year. All the hotels in Irvine will provide additional support and lodging for
this year's Cup listed in your welcome package and on our website www.championscup.org.
